Hi guys! I received these Apoterra skincare products with a generous discount, to review for you guys! I have to acknowledge how helpful and informational their team is. I could ask them any questions about their products and they were quick to answer. I even filled out a survey to let me know what products would fit best for my skin type. Loved it! I think I found it when I subscribed to the email list.
It also feels quite personal that each batch is numbered. This gives you access to where each ingredient comes from to their factory, which you can find on their website. For my toner, here’s the page if you’d like to check it out. I love the transparency of this brand, as that’s exactly how I want my blog to be like! Transparent, authentic, honest.
They’ve kindly given me a discount code for you guys to use! Get 20% off Apoterra skincare products by using code: CASUALCOLIE20. Now through this Sunday, October 15th. Thanks Apoterra!
There’s so much information on Apoterra‘s website that is extremely helpful! I love how they set up their website, it’s so ideal. If you want to check out the ingredients they use and the benefits, see it here. They even have a blog!
I’m going to review each of the Apoterra products I received in order from most favorite to least. If you want to find out details concerning the benefits of each of the featured skincare products ingredients, feel free and click on each item.
I regret not actually purchasing this one, but I might in the near future. I would apply this at night and it would make my skin so soft and moisturized without feeling too oily. I enjoy using serums at night to help moisturize my skin in my sleep! It was extremely helpful how Apoterra sent a description of the ingredients and the benefits they have on the skin. Love how they let you know that you can mix a bit of it in your face moisturizer as well.
One example on the list was Immortelle, “an essential oil also known as “everlasting.” A powerful healing, anti-inflammatory, and regenerative oil. Ideal for blemishes.” — quoted from Apoterra
Smell wise, it’s actually quite nice! Out of all of the plant and mineral based products, this is my favorite scent. It’s hard to explain the scent though… just know it’s not strong!
Love how this toner has amazing ingredients that are really great for the skin! As all of their products do!
I’m really into glass bottles for skincare products, as it’s more sustainable (I can reuse it easily) and seems more luxe. It’s not made of plastic like everything else in this world. Except for the tops, which makes sense. Also plastic does come in handy when traveling light. But, I feel that when a beauty product is in a glass bottle, it has more value. Maybe it’s because glass protects the ingredients from oxidizing or what not, but it also makes it appear more expensive, fancy. I hope you get what I’m saying. Usually when I have a foundation in a glass bottle, I favor it over one in a plastic form. It’s odd, but I think you understand. (P.S. yesterday I raded my skincare cabinet and got rid of my plastic containers that hold/organize my things. I was just sick of so much unnecessary plastic, and hope to find some stainless steel type baskets or wood ones, or neither. I don’t ever want too many products as the philosophy I like to aspire to is ‘less is more’. So, clutter doesn’t really exist.)
Only thing is, I didn’t notice any results. There are so many factors that play into your skin’s appearance and health such as sleep patterns, eating, and exercise, so it was difficult to pin point whether or not this helped. I think if I would’ve had kept up normal habits of all these factors, I would have seen my skin changing for the better as vitamin c and green tea are known to keep the skin healthy.
I loved the overall feeling of this body oil, as I’ve never had one before. I really wanted to try one out and decided to give this one a go. Good decision, but if it smelled a bit less strong, I might want to wear it more often. I wish I could have noticed whether or not the lavender helped me sleep better or not. But, it was hard to tell as I luckily sleep pretty well.
The scent was a little overpowering for me and I’m not sure if it was the lavender or the primrose. But I think the benefits trump the scent because lavender and primrose are wonderful on the skin!
I think the main reason this is listed last is due to the feeling it had while on my face. I think I may have had a few small allergic reactions to an ingredient in this mask, due to the fact that I have sensitive skin. But, that definitely does not mean you will. Everyone obviously has different reactions to certain ingredients, so even though this may have not worked best on me, it may work well on you. I am thinking it was the cinnamon, but am unsure. My face would just get slightly itchy when I had it on, but didn’t break me out or anything else. It could just mean that it’s working, but when you’re face is feeling slightly uncomfortable, I usually take that as a sign of an allergy. I’ve used it multiple times and love the results afterwards as it leaves my skin feeling fresh and smooth. So smooth!
Overall, I support Apoterra as they are an amazing brand that has created such incredible, healthy skincare. I would like to try more of their products out and continue to use the ones that I own.
