HOW TO TAKE YOUR LOOK FROM DAY TO NIGHT ON VALENTINE’S DAY
I want to mention before going into this look I’ve created that I was lucky enough to collaborate with another blogger named Maggie Stewart who created keetpitsimple-21.com! She’s created her own look for Valentine’s Day on her blog so I’ll leave a link below:)
If you couldn’t tell through the photos, it was a gloomy, snowy day out! My hands were freezing, but I wanted to get a few shots in of my outfit as inspiration for you for lovely Valentine’s Day! I’ve created a casual look for the daytime and have a few additional pieces and switch-a-ru’s for a night out:) I honestly have no idea what I’ll be up to on Valentine’s, but hopefully my man has something in mind, otherwise we will find something to do in the spur of the moment. For the day look, I put together pieces that are both comfy and cute! Who wants to wear something that is uncomfortable all day anyways? Especially when you’ll be rocking heels on a night out on the town. I rarely ever wear scarves and so I’d had this blush scarf in my closet for a while and thought I’d add it within my outfit. I have to be honest with you, at first the scarf was a bit annoying since I wasn’t used to wearing one in a few years, but it wasn’t itchy at all it was very soft. I love the shade of the scarf and think it works well with a plain cropped sweater and long soft tee. Both the sweater and the tee are my favorite basic pieces! I can wear these with about any outfit I come up with since they are essential pieces for any girl’s wardrobe. I’m not the biggest fan of crop tops, unless I can layer a piece underneath for a chic look. I had to include some pinkish hues within the mix since it’s for Valentine’s Day. I wanted this look to be girly cute:) Maroon jeans match a lot more colors than a bright pink pair and my riding boots are a nice neutral shade.
Let’s be realistic, I probably should’ve painted my nails again and I most likely will for VD, but I’m a college student and nail polish chips fast on me… so I hadn’t quite gotten around to it. I do want to wear the same shade, which is close to the blush colored scarf since I find it a perfect color in between pink and nude. As for accessories, I wore the blush scarf of course, and added a few rings with pinkish tones and cream shades. I especially love the small, subtle arrow earrings that work perfectly for the occasion since I refer arrows as pointing to the heart. Choose your favorite lipstick in pink and you’re good to go for the day! Whether that be out shopping or heading to a few day classes.

(As you may have noticed my skin isn’t crystal clear… thanks to life, I’ve got a few blemishes. So, I would like to mention how I do not touch up my face or don’t use face tune because I believe in accepting yourself and your flaws! Embrace it baby!)
