It was such a nice surprise receiving e.l.f. Skincare products for free from Influenster to review! My opinions are my own:) I will let you know what products I like most as well as the ones I don’t, so that you will get a helpful idea of which products you might want to try yourself. I’ve had these products for a few weeks now and have tested them out a few times or more depending on how much I liked them. I honestly was excited since I actually use some e.l.f. beauty products and have been for quite some time as I find that they work quite well considering how inexpensive they are!
First off, I was glad to see a Mineral Inflused Face Primer within the e.l.f. Skincare box sent to me by Influenster, as I was in need of a new one. I’d actually used one of e.l.f.’s primers a few months ago and thought it worked ok for my oily prone skin. I think this one actually works better than the one I have used before! Good sign! It has that perfect primer feeling when you apply it, which reminds me of a high end primer as it is lightweight on the face. I’d say this is a great choice of a primer from the drugstore!
Second, I got curious when I saw the Hydrating Bubble mask as I’d never had a facial cleanser type mask foam before, even though I already knew they existed. I was pretty impressed by this one! I go out of my way to use it a few times a week as I find it kind of fun to feel the foaming produce on my face as it appears and disappears in about five minutes. When washed off, my face is left feeling really soft! This is already my favorite product of the box as it’s simple to use and a much needed essential to clean your face. The packaging design makes it look like a more expensive, luxury item even though it’s under twenty dollars!
Third, aside from Skincare, e.l.f.’s Highlighter & Bronzer within their cosmetics range, is the perfect duo for a bit of glow. I’m always on the lookout for a good bronzer, but this one was a bit too warm for my personal liking. I definitely find it more useful in the summer time to accentuate my tan, but I prefer more cool toned bronzers in the winter months. I love, love the highlighter though! It’s got a gorgeous pearly shine to it. Oh, and it’s only three bucks for the duo!
Fourth, I’m not the biggest fan of matte lip products unless they are long lasting and I add some clear gloss over it because matte sometimes makes my lips feel dry! But, that doesn’t mean I don’t like it, I just don’t prefer it. This Matte Lip Color in the shade Wine though, is a beautiful color to wear during the holidays to parties and family gatherings, but I wouldn’t wear this color on a daily basis since I tend to favor more natural toned lip products.
Last and fifth, the lip exfoliator in Mint Maniac wasn’t quite necessary in my opinion, but might be during the colder months as my lips are more dry. I wish it was a face exfoliant as this lip one will take me a few years to get through. It did the job, but isn’t impressive.
