Hey guys! As you may already know, a LBD (little black dress) has been considered a classic staple to a woman’s wardrobe since it is extremely versatile. For the longest time, I had been searching for a LBD that would fit into my every day lifestyle and work perfectly with the wardrobe I already have. Luckily, there are millions of versions out there from formal wear to casual style.
The one I am wearing is the basic of the basic kind and is a perfect LBD for those who want to incorporate it easily into their relaxed style. Let’s be real here, I’m from Utah where it’s not necessary to be wearing high end brand named clothing from head to toe to go outside especially since downtown is miniscual compared to other big cities. Mixing in some expensive brands works great! But, if you’re wearing all of these high named brand clothing, then you’re going to look overdressed for going to the grocery store… That’s why I thought my casual style could inspire you to find pieces that work great for day to day and is more realistic for a teen, college student, newly wed, and even a mom! So, finding a LBD is easy peasy! Browse any store you prefer or want to check out and you’re bound to find one you like. This one I found from the brand called Cotton On and you guessed it… it’s made of cotton. Definitely the most versatile since it is made of the fabric most clothes are made with and is a simple scoop neck, short-sleeved, and reaches mid thigh (if tall… dresses tend to be shorter on me since I’ve got long legs 5’8″) and probably would touch the knee for the average women’s height. What’s great about this LBD is that I can dress it up or dress it down! I’ve dressed it down for this look, but in order to dress it up all you could simply add is a nice waist belt or a bold statement necklace and classic black or nude heels. Yes, it is that simple and easy!
