Hi guys! I have been waiting to share this product with you guys for some time now, as I was patiently testing it out with excitement. I’m glad I found Janey on Instagram and her product, Grow It Girl! Why? Multiple reasons! For one, she also lives in Utah, where I live! Supporting local beauty entrepreneurs is awesome. I consider myself a type of entrepreneur too! Second, she’s inspiring. I continue to research loads on what ingredients are best to use on my skin to share with you guys as well as what clothing is best too, and it takes a lot of time. She was also curious what would be best to use on her hair and found a solution! She bravely made more of the product with the ingredients that helped her, to help you! Which eventually created the amazing company she has now, I Heart Mimi. She’s now just recently come out with a new product you can glance at on her website.

Let’s get into the product details, so you can get the most out of this post and decide if it’s something you’d like to add into your beauty regime. Trust me, it’s a good decision if you want healthy hair. Grow It Girl is a leave-in hair treatment which only uses a few of the necessary ingredients to give you healthy hair, leaving out other ingredients you aren’t as sure of. I would like to mention that you need to test it out to make sure you don’t have an allergic reaction, just like any product. To be clear, just because a product does not contain harmful chemicals, does not mean you will not be allergic to it. Some natural ingredients can cause allergic reactions just as much if not more than some other ingredients. I would like to do a post on this to clarify even more since I found this information helpful in deciding what products are best for me and the majority.

Anyways, I absolutely love how one of the few ingredients in it is aloe vera. This is one of my all time favorite ingredients to use on the body! To be honest, I wish I had it in more of my skincare products. It’s amazing for sensitive skin as it soothing, that’s why you may have used it on a sunburn. Get more details on the other benefits of aloe vera on Janey’s I Heart Mimi website as she goes into detail on each of the ingredients listed in the product. I love when brands do this! It’s super helpful for the consumer to know. I especially appreciate it as I want to be a more conscious consumer and know what I’m using on my skin. My love for aloe vera only started recently when I discovered it can help acne prone skin. My sister told me about this and I even bought an aloe vera plant to try it out. I unfortunately didn’t use it consistently enough to notice a huge difference, especially since other factors play into acne breakouts. But, that didn’t keep me from loving it! I love aloe vera! It feels so nice on the skin and has multiple benefits. So, I also found out from a few beauty books that aloe vera on the scalp can reduce dandruff and promote healthy skin.

Why was I not already using it?! Now, I’m happy to have this product as it provides my scalp goodness and helps my hair grow healthier! I’ve been struggling to find alternative hair products that don’t contain harmful ingredients such as parabens and also have amazing ingredients that nourish the scalp to create healthier looking hair. Luckily, this is one product I have now that does just that! Soon, I’ll be looking for a shampoo and conditioner, that does something similar. Over the few weeks I’ve been using this, I have found that it is helping my hair! I didn’t measure whether or not my hair is growing faster or whatnot, but I can tell my scalp is better and my hair growing looks shinier and healthier than the ends of my hair. Yay!

The past few days, I’ve been trying it on my face as an astringent/toner since I had forgotten earlier in the process. It hasn’t been long enough to tell you whether or not I notice any results, but I like it. I’d rather use it on my scalp though, since the scent is a little strong when applied to the face. It’s not that I don’t like the scent, it’s just that the fragrance is a bit overpowering when sprayed near the nose.

As for the packaging. Love it! I know Janey considered what packaging would make it most effective and she did the best job! I think the design is simple, cute, and works great! Love how she used a different spray, rather than the traditional tube like one as this spray distributes evenly on the scalp. Not too much sprays out on your face too. The aluminum type bottle also keeps the product cool to preserve the ingredients and keep the pH level balanced. It looks cute if you ever leave your products out on the counter. That’s a bonus though. Haha!

Also, I don’t want to forget to mention how simple and easy this product is to promote a healthier scalp and hair! All you do is spray it near your scalp after you shower and rub it in a bit. That’s it! No need to rinse it out or use it in the shower with the products you already use. Easy!

Hope you found this review helpful! Comment below if you’ve ever tried a leave-in hair treatment before and what kind? What other ingredients have you noticed help make your hair healthier?

Thanks,

xoxo
