What I’m Wearing:
Long maroon cardigan — Urban Blues
Hello all! As it’s been fashion week in nearly all the fashion capitals these past few weeks, I’ve drawn loads of inspiration, especially from street style pictures. Although all the Spring trends can be fun to try on, today I’ve gone for a classic look that suits my style and will work for me for a long time. It never gets old to pair a button up skirt with a striped tee and a cardigan. You can do so with so many different shades of the same three items to create a different look. As per usual lately, I’ve received this black floral printed purse kindly by Gamiss to review in this post! My opinions are obviously my own, as always:)
Back to this look, I really love cardigans when they are long and flowy and how this one is knit so that I can wear it while the weather transitions to Spring. I find this outfit to work well with the transition to warmer weather as it keeps me warm and still incorporates some of my winter clothing, boots and cardigan, and mixes it with my summery things, striped short tee and skirt. This striped tee is super, super soft which is a definite bonus! Comfort is my specialty. The button up skirt draws attention to my waist and gives me shape where needed in order to accentuate my shape. While my somewhat chunky ankle boots make the look more relaxed and edgy.
The purse is absolutely darling! I usually have pretty small purses that are crossbodies, but I knew I needed one bigger for days that I need to take more things with me. This one is the perfect size for just that and I like how there is the option to use it as a crossbody as well as a hand held purse. I usually stick to neutral shades for my purses as it’s much easier grabbing one before heading out the door without thinking if it looks good with my outfit. Black is best for me! It’s really cute how this purse mixes two of my favorite things in style, black and floral. It even came with a matching wallet! The only thing is the wallet has gold details and the purse has silver, I prefer silver for both just for some added similar detailing.
Hope you are inspired by this look! Comment below letting me know what some of your transitional pieces are?
