Hi guys! I’m back from vacation, a trip to visit my boyfriend at his family’s place in California. If you noticed me missing, that’s where I was! Let me also mention how much I love the beach. Ok, back to this Summer Beauty Box that I got kindly from Influenster. First off, I’ve had such a good experience with Influenster as they send me beauty products to try out and sample to let you guys know what I think. This Summer beauty box was one of the BEST yet to come! There were so many new products that I hadn’t tried yet, besides the Dermalogica one.
My list will start with my top favorite to the least favorite so that it helps you get an idea of what’s worth considering or trying for yourself. I would have to say that I really loved the Julep — Boost Your Radiance Rosehip Seed Face Oil the MOST. I really needed a face oil into my daily routine as it only contains a few ingredients if that and is gentle on the skin. I have sensitive skin and this oil works perfectly! It’s lightweight and feels nice! My next favorite would be the Aquis — Hair Turban as it’s something everyone could use with long hair. It’s super nice to have your wet hair out of your face and convenient too as it helps dry your hair. Instead of using a full size body towel over your head for your hair, this hair turban is great! I use it almost every time I get out of the shower.
Third up, I’d have to say the Lash Food — brow food aqua brow powder + pencil duo because it’s different and I like the consistency. Random, I know, but I think using a different type of brow product mixes things up a bit. This powder is packaged in a tube like thing where a brush dips into it and is applied to your brows, then or before that you use the brow pencil to sharpen your brows or fill them in more. I think the product has a nice consistency and lasts long as well as applying easily. The shade is a tad dark for my everyday brow look, but every once in awhile I like to go for a bolder brow and this product is my go-to. Fourth, the Dermalogica — Stress Positive Eye Lift is great as I’ve discovered how the skin near the eye area is the thinnest on the face and needs attention. Using the eye treatment before bed creates a relaxing routine for me as the small metal tip is soothing around the eyes when applied.
Then the last three items are the Sigma — Large Angle Contour Brush and Sigma — Large Angle Contour Brush , which I like but am not impressed if you know what I mean. I like the color of the blush for Summer, as it’s bright and fun. The brush is very loose that you have to put more product on it for it to apply, at least that’s how I felt. The Ouidad didn’t even help with my hair frizz at all, in fact I thought it made things worse. The only thing I liked about the hair products were that they smelled nice, but other than that I wasn’t a fan. The texture of the conditioner seemed to disappear in the hair, resulting in a tangly mess.
Overall, most of the things in this Summer Beauty box were really great to add into my beauty routine. I’m getting closer to a routine I can stick to for awhile, then mix it up a few months later. It’s quite satisfying once you’ve found a product that is multi-functional and does the job!
